Teresa Rebollar’s home sustained severe damage from Hurricane Michael. Assessments rendered the structure beyond repair, and after some time, the house was no longer liveable.
Teresa connected with the North Florida Inland LTR who referred her case to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).
Don and Cheryl Holm’s home was also destroyed in the storm. They relocated to the Santa Rosa Beach area but donated their homesite lot to Marianna UMC. The church they were then attending, Good News UMC, raised money to donate towards the construction of a new home on the property.
Teresa’s family was chosen as the recipient of the home, and a dedication was held on February 25th. The project was organized by the Alabama/West Florida United Methodist Conference Disaster Relief Ministry, in partnership with North Florida Inland Long Term Recovery Group.
Other partners in the Rebollar recovery project were The Salvation Army who helped with appliances and furniture, Chipola Baptist Association who provided a camper for the family as part of the Travel Trailer Pilot Program, and Rivertown Community Church.
